Baz: The Influence of A Father to His Daughters

Our dad Barry - aka Baz - has always been a team player.

From starting tennis at a young age - at a club he then spent 30 years playing for - to coaching my sister Hays and I at netball and tennis - now in his retirement he's an active member of his golf club.

Not to mention that every second conversation during footy season will be about his beloved Port Adelaide - our nanna went to every Port Grand Final since the 1930's. It's in our blood.

He's helped us build our two businesses after spending all of his life creating and producing; a printer by trade he values hard work and providing solutions with great customer service - although for us he's spent a LOT of time painting!

We lost Sam's dad Ron just before we were married in 2005, and we miss him immensely. Sam and our brother in law Pete have treasured the way our family has embraced them, and for dad it's been nice to have a few more blokes around the BBQ!

He's shared many wonderful moments with our two boys who love their Poppa Baz, and we're excited that our upcoming arrival due in less than 7 weeks will be able to share more special times with him. This time a grand-daughter, so it'll be back to the netball court for Baz!

This post is to say a small thanks for the huge impact he's had on mine, Hays, Pete  & Sam's life - we are truly grateful for all that he's done for us, loved us and supported us in all that we do. 

Here's to your Dad on Father's Day - the one who helped you get started in business or your career, encouraged you to reach for ever-greater heights, and passed on his diverse set of skills and passions.

A doer who loved creating things and sharing work with family and friends. There are many ways you can say thanks to your Dad.
